| Analysis of Teachers’ attitudes on Using Technology in English Language Teaching in Iran |

| Technology provides a lot of opportunities in the domain of foreign and second language learning and teaching. Since this endeavor reviewed the standpoints of the teachers, it was planned within a phenomenological framework. To this end, eighteen Iranian senior high school EFL male teachers were selected based on the purposeful sampling technique. The experiences of these eighteen teachers at different schools(urban and rural) in Iran during working with technology in language classroom were investigated through a qualitative research method particularly interview. Then, a semi structured interview was designed to identify the perception of the teachers while using and implementing technology in the process of language teaching. Based on content analysis approach, the gathering data were classified into five themes. The themes were teachers’ previous knowledge of technology, equipment used, schools’ view of technology, technological equipment, and professional experience. The results showed that all teachers agreed on using technology in language teaching unanimously. The study provides implications for language teaching pedagogy, curriculum developers, English language teachers and tutors. |
