| The practice of teaching has continually evolved, moving from oral traditions and apprenticeship models to structured classroom instruction and, more recently, technology-enhanced learning environments. Contemporary methodologies, including humanistic education, cooperative learning, and social constructivism, have emphasized learner autonomy, collaboration, and critical thinking, marking a significant shift away from rigid, teacher-centered models. The increasing use of blended learning and digital platforms has further expanded flexibility and accessibility in education. At present, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents a transformative stage in this developmental trajectory. AI technologies enable personalized learning at scale, intelligent tutoring systems, automated administrative processes, and data-driven insights, while also enhancing accessibility through tools such as real-time translation. This paper reviews current approaches to teaching and examines how the introduction of AI is reshaping pedagogical practices. It argues that while AI can redefine the delivery and management of education, human educators remain essential as mentors, facilitators, and ethical guides in this AI-augmented landscape. |
